I launched the Arabian Leopard Survey in 1997 and led sign surveys, camera-trapping programs and GPS satellite tracking work in the Dhofar Mountains. I also brought in international volunteer organizations to support leopard conservation. I co-authored ‘The Arabian Leopards of Oman’ in 2014 and remain involved in the conservation of this critically endangered subspecies. I am particularly interested to address the threat to the leopard and its habitat of increasing livestock and overgrazing.
