Dr. Justine Shanti Alexander is a conservation scientist with more than 15 years of experience working on snow leopards and wildlife conservation across Asia. She completed her PhD on snow leopard ecology in China and has worked across the snow leopard range, linking science with conservation policy and practice. She previously served as Executive Director of the Snow Leopard Network and recently led the IUCN Red List assessment for the snow leopard. As Country Director for the Wildlife Conservation Society in Mongolia, she leads a multidisciplinary team working with government, communities and partners to strengthen wildlife conservation and translate evidence into national policy and action. She also supports WCS’s wider snow leopard work across Asia, with a particular focus on building partnerships and collaboration across countries and organizations to strengthen conservation at the range-wide scale.
