I am a wildlife veterinarian with over 17 years of experience in the rescue, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and conservation of wild felids, particularly the Indian leopard (Panthera pardus fusca). I spent 11 years at the Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Centre in Junnar, Maharashtra, where I was involved in more than 200 leopard rescues, reunions of leopard cubs with their mothers, and human–leopard conflict mitigation initiatives. I currently work as a Senior Veterinary Doctor at the Green Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (GZRRC), Vantara, Jamnagar, India. My professional and research interests include wild felid medicine, rescue and rehabilitation, behaviour, reproduction, assisted reproductive technologies, and preventive healthcare. I am particularly interested in developing practical, science-based approaches to human–wild cat coexistence while improving the welfare, management, and conservation of rescued wild felids.
