I am a wildlife biologist that applies science and statistical inference to guide conservation action. Since 2018 I have supported Amur tiger and Amur leopard conservation in the Russian Far East and northeast China. I believe collaborative, science-based conservation is a powerful way to foster mutual understanding and better tackle shared conservation goals. In seeking solutions to the most pressing conservation challenges of today, I have helped initiate diverse projects, from reducing the impacts of highways on Amur tiger and leopard connectivity; supporting farmer-wild boar coexistence through community-based electric fencing; to assessing the efficacy of protected areas in supporting Amur tiger survival. I currently work for the Wildlife Conservation Society's Temperate Asia Regional Program and am a member of the Tiger Conservation Coalition Science Working Group.
