Peter Zahler has worked on or supported conservation efforts aimed at the conservation and recovery of snow leopards, Amur and Malayan tigers, Asiatic cheetahs, African lions, and jaguars. He served on the last two IUCN Red List Assessment committees for snow leopards, is on the steering committee for the AZA SAFE Snow Leopard Program, and runs the Sabin Snow Leopard Grants Program.
