Melvin E. Sunquist

Currently Professor Emeritus in the Department of Wildlife Ecology & Conservation at the University of Florida. Conducted field studies on ecology and behavior of tigers and leopards in Nepal, India, Peninsular Malaysia, and Laos. Documented food habits of Asiatic golden cats in Peninsular Malaysia and African golden cats in the Central African Republic. Conducted field studies on ecology and behavior of jaguars, pumas and ocelots in Venezuela and Brazil, cheetahs in Kenya, and other less-known cats, including leopard cats on Borneo and the guiña on Isla Chiloe. In Florida research focused on bobcats.
