Maximilian Allen
University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana
I am a carnivore ecologist at the University of Illinois and Illinois Natural History Survey. I completed my Ph.D. in Conservation Biology at Victoria University in 2014 focused on the ecology and behavior of pumas. My primary research focus is using camera trapping to understand solitary carnivores and ecological interactions. I have published over 80 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals on the subject, and I am currently working on felid conservation projects on four continents. I also enjoy long-distance running, exploring wild places, and using photography to connect with wildlife.
