I am a biologist with a master's degree and a doctorate in ecology from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil), including a period at the Wildlife Unit (UVS) of the University of Aveiro (Portugal). My work focuses primarily on research into distribution, activity, coexistence patterns and conservation of felids in the Brazilian semiarid region (Caatinga). I have experience coordinating conservation projects for threatened species, as well as in environmental licensing, protected area management, and species conservation status assessment. I am part of the National Action Plan for the Conservation of Small Felids and a founding member of the Seridó Vivo Group and the Tiger Cats Conservation Initiative. I have been working as a biology teacher and currently, I am pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (Brazil).
