I am a sociologist and co-founder of Fundación Con Garra, a Chilean organization dedicated to the conservation of native Chilean wild cats. My work seeks to integrate the social sciences with biodiversity conservation, based on the conviction that protecting felines also requires understanding people, strengthening the connection to their territories, and promoting community participation.

For the past several years, I have spearheaded conservation, environmental education, and public communication initiatives aimed at generating cultural shifts in favor of Leopardus garleppi, Leopardus guigna, Leopardus colocola, and Leopardus geoffoyi. Among these initiatives is the Slow for Wildlife campaign, which promotes the reduction of wildlife roadkill through education, road signage, and collaborative work with public institutions, organizations, and local communities.

My main interests include small cat conservation, road ecology, the human dimensions of conservation, and communication for conservation.
