I am a wildlife ecologist based in Paraguay whose research examines the conservation of Neotropical carnivores and biodiversity within working landscapes. I study jaguar population ecology, habitat connectivity, and space use across the Gran Chaco and Pantanal, with particular attention to how ranching and agricultural land use shape carnivore persistence and human-wildlife conflict. More broadly, my research includes assessing how land use affects carnivore and prey communities in production ecosystems across the Southern Cone, seeking to reconcile biodiversity conservation with the realities of agricultural and ranching economies in South America's working landscapes.
