Fernanda Michalski
Federal University of Amapa, Macapá, Amapá, Brazil
Fernanda has been a lecturer in ecology and conservation biology at the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP) since 2010. She is also an associate researcher at the Brazilian NGO Instituto Pró-Carnívoros. Since 2002, she has conducted and coordinated research projects on Amazonian mid-sized and large-bodied mammals, with an emphasis on felids. Furthermore, she has played a key role in advancing our understanding of human-felid conflicts across Amazonian landscapes with varying forest cover and levels of anthropogenic disturbance.
