Susana Rostro García
WildCRU University of Oxford
I am a postdoctoral Researcher at WildCRU, University of Oxford, and my journey working with felids started 12 years ago. My previous research on felids includes jaguars, pumas, and ocelots in South America, cheetahs in Namibia, tigers and leopards in Nepal, and jungle cats and leopard cats in eastern Cambodia. Since 2014, my main focus has been the Critically Endangered leopards in Southeast Asia. I’ve conducted surveys with local collaborators across several areas in Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Java, with the purpose of gathering data about the status and ecology of the species in the region, as well as information necessary for evidence-based conservation actions.
