I have been working in a hands-on keeping role with captive wild cats for over 20 years, gaining varying lengths of husbandry experience with 34 of the 40 recognised species. My work has taken me to Zoos and Sanctuaries globally to build on my knowledge of species-specific behaviours and husbandry techniques. Alongside my keeping role I studied a FdSc Animal Conservation & Biodiversity with the University of Greenwich and then a top-up year in BSc Zoology at Roehampton University.

Currently I am a Deputy Head Keeper at The Big Cat Sanctuary, UK and lead the Conservation/breeding section. I also am the programme monitor for caracals across the European Zoo region (EAZA) including coordinating the studbook for the Asiatic caracal. In my own time I am the Ambassador of the Rusty Spotted Cat Working Group and a volunteer for the Cheetah Conservation Fund UK.
