I am a veterinarian and wildlife conservation specialist with over 20 years of experience in wildlife health, ecology and conservation. My professional work has focused particularly on wild felids, especially the Iberian lynx, combining veterinary medicine, disease ecology, population monitoring and conservation management. Since 2007, I have been involved in the Iberian lynx conservation programme in Andalusia, where I contribute to health surveillance and demographic monitoring of a reintroduced population. I have also participated in conservation projects involving other threatened species and have extensive experience in wildlife rehabilitation and scientific monitoring. I hold a PhD in Ecology and has authored numerous scientific publications and book chapters on wildlife health, pathogens and conservation.
