As an Internet Engineer / Manager, I can hardly ignore my interest in wildlife in the 14 years after graduation. In 2012, I finally decided to devote myself to protecting leopard (P. p. japonensis), an endangered big cat in China. After years of field work on a leopard population in Central China, I and some outstanding colleagues have jointly completed the first field monitoring of wild North China leopard population in China. So far, we have identified more than 100 leopards with camera traps. Through our protection work, their population density has increased by about 1 / 3. The organization I founded and I are focusing on all Chinese wild cats. We are committed to discovering some unknown felid habitats. For example, in Sichuan Province, China, I and my team found a hot spot where 7 felidae species living there. We are also focusing on some cats that lack attention, such as Chinese Mountain Cats and Clouded Leopards, and trying to fill their gaps in research and protection. Today, we have carried out field work against Leopards, Clouded Leopards, Chinese Mountain Cats, Lynx and Pallas's Cats in at least seven provinces in China, and we take protecting them as our goal.
