Brady, J.R.
Preliminary results of bobcat scent station transects in Florida
1979  Conference Proceeding

To test the scent station method for indexing bobcat population trends, a statewide system of scent station transects was established. In this first year the number of positive stations per transect varied from zero to eight with the mean being 1.9. Preliminary conclusions are that this method can be readily adapted to monitor state or regional bobcat population trends. However, further evaluation of the method is recommended.
