With the present project we aimed to contribute to the knowledge about felids in Nepal's mid-hill belt by collecting baseline ecological data. We intended to assess the status of felids in the Hugu-Kori biodiversity hotspot inside the Annapurna Conservation Area, Nepal, with a focus on clouded leopard and Asian golden cat. Our objectives were to Assess the presence/absence, relative abundance and activity patterns of wild felids; Evaluate the prey base for felids in this area; Identify and document all the known and probable threats for felids and their prey species. |
