The use of Ivermectin in zoo mammals

Ivermectin is a highly effective antiparasitic drug used in farm animals worldwide. Ivermectin could be very useful in zoomammals, but unfortunately is the efficacy and safety of ivermectin in zoo animals not very well known. Probably a reason for zoo vets to use ivermectin reluctantly. The following is an overview of what has been published about the use of ivermectin, its efficacy and safety in zoomammals.
