Human tiger interaction in Chitawan
1979  Conference Proceeding

Forest of Terai and Siwalik zones of Nepal have diminished alarmingly in the last two decades. One of the significant example is Chitawan Valley. The are no human settlements in the Royal Chitawan National Park. But activities of villagers settled near park boundaries, has ecological impact and create management problems as well. Observations were made in the northeastern corner of the park over a period of two and a half years, regarding human-tiger interaction. Human settlements and their activities present relative disturbances to the tigers.
