Glick, D.
Of lynx and men [scenes from a homecoming]
2006  National Geographic (January 2006): 56-67

In 1999, 41 lynx from Canada have been released in Colorado to bring the species back after they had disappeared in the 1970s. Soon 17 of them were dead. More animals were released. Only in 2003/2004 reproduction started to add to the population. In 2005 46 kittens were documented and the total population is estimated to be 170 animals. It will take another 15 to 20 years until the success of the endeavour can be judged.
