The Zanzibar Leopard between Science and Cryptozoology

The Zanzibar Leopard is an elusive and possible extinct subspecies endemic to Unguja (Zanzibar) island. It has never been studied in the wild and hasn't been seen by a researcher since the early 1980s.There is a widespread belief that witches use the animals to harm their fellow villagers.
