Management tools to enhance wild rabbit populations

Low quality of habitat, predation, diseases (mainly myxomatosis and haemorrhagic disease) and game are the factors considered as the main causes of the decline of wild rabbit populations. During last decade this species has been frequently managed with hunting and conservation goals, since wild rabbit is the staple prey of a wide variety of predators, some of them threatend with extinction.
