Last year, representatives of the CITES Management Authorities of Japan, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea participated in a workshop held here in Vladivostok. This year's workshop is at aimed enforcement issues and focuses on improving collaboration between Customs bodies and CITES agencies in these countries. In this region, Customs officers and enforcement agencies are facing numerous challenges. One of them is to control the trade in Cites specimens that cross the borders between our countries. |
