Over recent years, the issue of use of parts from endangered species such as tiger and rhinoceros as ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine has become an international conservation cause c‚lŠbre. The reasons are fairly obvious - poaching for the illegal trade is drinving these species to the brink of extinction, with the TCM market being one of the prime consumers of the poached goods.
