Bisbal E., F.J.
The carnivores of Venezuela: Their distribution and the ways they have been affected by human activities - Family Felidae
1987  Full Book

This thesis examined the distribution and habitat associations of carnivores in Venezuela in relationship to developmental activities in nine biogeographic zones. The localities known for the carnivores and the records reported in the literature were used to determine the distribution and habitat associations of carnivores in Venezuela. The impact of human activities was evaluated in each of the biogeographic zones as it was related to deforestation by agriculture, cattle raising, and timber industry; dam construction; exploitation of mineral resources road construction; and illegal skin trade.
