The servals of Gorigor
1981  Wildlife News (16): 4-8

The Serval cat (felis serval), together with the caracal (felis caracal) and the wild cat (felis hybica) comprise the so-called "small to medium-sized" of the cat family in East Africa. These smaller cats seem to have one thing in common: Almost nothing is known about their ecology or behavior in the wild. Partly this is due to their smaller size, solitary existence and nocturnal tendency. Also, they are shy by nature and the most one often observes is a flash across the road or a fleeting image at night
