Guidelines for heritage management in the Salinas Grandes, La Pampa province, Argentina
2017  Conservar Patrim¢nio: 63-74

We propose to investigate the management of the heritage of the Salinas Grandes - province of La Pampa, Argentina - and its surroundings by state bodies, taking into account the heritage declarations and associated regulations orresponding to different jurisdictional scales.and the associated regulations corresponding to different jurisdictional scales,in relation to international recommendations. We believe that in spite of the progress made in this area, there are gaps and obscurities in terms of the protection of local heritage. In particular, we are interested in the recognition and safeguarding of industrial heritage, considering the importance of salt extraction in the area. We argue that the analysis of this case study enables us to propose a series of possible lines of action that will also be useful in other cases with similar characteristics.
