New record of the Uruguayan pampas cat _Leopardus munoai_ (Xim‚nez, 1961) (Mammalia: Carnivora: Felidae) in the center of Uruguay

The Uruguayan Pampas cat _Leopardus munoai_ is a feline endemic to open areas of Uruguay, southern Brazil, and northeastern Argentina, with few recent documented records. We report the discovery of a road-killed specimen on Route 43, department of Tacuaremb¢, Uruguay, in a grassland area previously defined as a highly suitable habitat for this species.
