Increasing evidence of tiger in North Sikkim, India
2021  Cat News (74): 23-27

We report here photographic evidence of two tigers _Panthera tigris tigris _from the North Sikkim Territorial Forest Division, North Sikkim district, in Sikkim, India. These tigers were photo-captured at elevations of 2,425 m and 3,602 m in the months of June-July 2019 from an area where very little is known about the species occurrence. These records and additional evidence suggests that a tiger population may occur at low densities in remote Himalayan forests of North Sikkim.
