This status report was prepared in the latter part of 1971 for the Department of the Interior to assist in revising the listing of cats on the United States List of Endangered Foreign Fish and Wildlife. On the basis of the data presented here, the Department in March of 1972 enlarged the list of cats to include eight species, as well as five subspecies of other species that had previously been listed. |
