Clouded leopard:The sixth felid of Valmiki Tiger Reserve, Bihar, India

Clouded leopard _Neofelis nebulosa_ is an elusive, semi-arboreal, forest dwelling felid, classified as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources IUCN and currently placed on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora CITES as an Appendix I Species. In India, it is protected as Schedule I species under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. This note presents the first record of clouded leopard in Valmiki Tiger Reserve in Bihar, situated in eastern most part of Terai Arc Landscape, India.
