25 years of black-footed cat_ Felis nigripes_ field research and conservation

The presentation provides an overview of over 25 years of field research on Black-footed Cat (BfC) conducted by the author. Since 1992 with the capture and radio-collaring of the first cat on Benfontein Nature Reserve, situated close to Kimberley in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa, a total of 68 individuals have been captured. Of these, 65 were collared and some of them have been recaptured up to six times amounting to more than 120 captures.
