Hewson, R.
The food of wild cats (_Felis silvestris_) and red foxes (_Vulpes vulpes_) in west and north-east Scotland
1983  Notes from the Mammal Society (46): 283-289

Little is known about the food of Wild cats (_Felis silvestris_) in Scotland. Kolb (1977) describes the stomach contents of 18 Wild cats from north-east Scotland and Corbett (1979) analysed 546 scats, also from north-east Scotland. This paper compares the food of Wild cats in west Scotland with that of Red foxes (_Vulpes vulpes_) on the same study area and with the diet of Wild cats in north-east Scotland.
