Kasper, C.B.
Estudo sobre a densidade populacional de _Leopardus pardalis_ (Linnaeus, 1758) (Felidae: Carnivora) no Parque Estadual do Turvo, sul do Brasil
2007  Full Book

The density estimates of ocelots were obtained from camera trapping in two sites of the Turvo State Park. The estimates indicate a density of approximately 20 individuals for every 100 km2. In both sites, the animals moved considerably, which allowed a capture and re-capture analysis, even though camera-trap stations were widely spaced. Additionally, records of another five felids were obtained, all of them in much smaller proportions in the study site. The observed density implicates a total population of approximately of 35 individual inside the reserve, which is presumably insufficient for long-term conservation, if isolated.
