Occurrence of rusty-spotted cat in Balaghat forest division, Madhya Pradesh, India

The rusty-spotted cat _Prionailurus rubiginosus_ is the smallest of all cat species found in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The species is reported sporadically from many parts of India. However, very little is known about their ecology. In this paper we report its presence from Balaghat forest division of Madhya Pradesh, India.
