Study of the endangered ocelot occurring in Texas; Distribution, status, and ecology of the ocelot and jaguarundi in Texas
1983  Full Book

The ocelot (Felis pardalis) at one time ranged in the Edwards Plateau, Rio Grande Plain, and Gulf Coast of Texas. Due to land use changes, primarily brush clearing, these cats are now only occasionally sighted in isolated pockets of dense brush in South Texas. Very little is known of their present range, habitat requirements, food habits, or breeding biology. Such data are necessary in order to develop management plans for the species.
