Spacial and social organisation of Geoffroy's cat in a meadow area on the coast (Organizaci¢n espacial y social del gato mont‚s (Oncifelis geoffroyi) en un  rea de pastizal costero)

The aim of the study was to establish the spatial and habitat requirements of the Geoffroy's cat in the Wildlife Reserve "Campos del Tuy£" (Province Buneos Aires, Argentina). Four adult individuals (2 males and 2 females) were monitored with radio collars from February 2000 to April 2001. The overlap between males was higher (61%) than the one between females (32%) and 46% for male-female overlap. The activity was mainly nocturnal, beginning at sunset, with increasing activity towards midnight and decreasing activity towards sunrise.
