A three-month research project has been carried out in a modified coastal savanna on the ranch of Amboni Mkwaja, which exploitation has been recently given up (1954-2000). The aim of the research was to study the distribution of warthogs (Phacocherus africanus) in a gradient of more or less modified habitats. Predators sighted during the study at Saadani Game Reserve, Tanzania, included lions. |
