After the first meeting with journalists from the “Associated Press”, it was decided that the problems jeopardizing the future survival of lynx in the Balkans would be an interesting topic for a publication. For that reason, Dime Melovski, Aleksandar Stojanov and Vasko Avukatov from MES were joined by two journalists from the “Associated Press” on an excursion to the lynx distribution area. While members of MES were conducting questionnaires in Leshnica village, near the city of Kichevo on Bistra Mt., the journalists recorded material for their story. After the field work was completed, the journalists promised future cooperation in this field.
