Anna Barashkova
I started to work as a coordinator of the Pallas’s cat study and conservation program at the Siberian Environmental Center NGO (Russia) in 2004. Since then I have been actively engaged in the conservation of steppes of Northern Eurasia, in particular the conservation of the manul and its habitats. The main regions of my work are Southern Siberia (Russia) and Kazakhstan. I am currently involved in Pallas’s cat monitoring and raising awareness throughout its global range as a part of the Manul Working Group, which I lead. I initiated and coordinate the MWG website and Small Wild Cats of Eurasia Database. I have experience in snow tracking, camera trapping, interview surveys, data storage and management.
