The Cheetah Conservation
Compendium is an internet platform providing information, data,
documents, maps and other material relevant to the conservation of the cheetah Acinonyx
jubatus. It will provide not only scientific baseline information, but also
popular material such as news items and public political documents. The Cheetah
Compendium is a tool that will share knowledge and experience, manage the
wealth of existing information about cheetahs, and make this information
readily available for all institutions and individuals working for conservation
of the cheetah. All available data and information will be sorted, entered into
a library database and then integrated into HTML-files. The Cheetah Compendium will be continuously
updated and reviewed, to ensure that the latest developments in cheetah status
and conservation are included.
