Since my master’s degree in 2012, my focus has been to explore human-big cat co-occurrence. Over the years, I have worked in Periyaptna (South India) understanding livestock degradation by leopards and in Pune (Western India) on the effects of scale on the spatial spread of livestock degradation by leopards. I am currently pursuing a PhD looking at the Spatio-temporal patterns of attacks on people by leopards in Himachal Pradesh (North India). In Himachal Pradesh I was part of projects that looked at understanding the circumstances surrounding people-leopard negative encounters, conducting ecological studies of diet preferences, conducting awareness workshops for stakeholders and documenting leopard presence in human-dominated areas.
