I was born in Uvs province, western Mongolia. Have a BC, MS and PhD from National University of Mongolia, have more than 30 years of experiences in research and conservation of endangered wildlife such as Przewalskii’s horses, snow leopards, ibex, argali sheep, wild cat and pallas’s cats. Working with snow leopards since 1993. In 2001 established NGO, named Irbis /snow leopard/ Mongolia Center to support research and conservation of cats in Mongolia and involve local herders. In 2000 together with Meredith Brown initiated first ever field study of the Pallas’s cats in Central Mongolia. The project has a field camp and underway. Currently work as Wildlife biologist at Mammalian ecology laboratory of the Institute of Biology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Executive Director of the Irbis Mongolia Center.
