I received my Ph.D. in 2009 from University College London and the Institute of Zoology, Zoological Society of London. I founded Panthera Colombia as a consultant in 2009 and led it towards a $1.8 Million USD South America hub organization. As Regional Director for South America I manage 5 countries, 32 employees and oversee a 10,000 ha Jaguar Conservation Ranch hosting a scientific tourism operation in Pantanal. I am interested in wild cat ecology and conservation in unprotected lands, through Human-wildlife conflict management, carbon bonds, sustainable wild meat harvests, animal viewing tourism, indigenous territories for conservation and infrastructure impact management on carnivore landscapes. I have published more than 30 papers between articles and book chapters, and has edited three books.
