I have been involved in carnivore research and conservation since 2004. I am a conservation biologist with fifteen years of experience in the conservation of the Andean cat, Pampas cat and other carnivores in the Bolivian Andes. I have developed research projects on distribution, threats, and population status assessments of the Andean cat, Pampas cat and puma in different protected areas of Bolivia, promoting their conservation and that of their habitat. Currently, as a member of the Andean Cat Alliance (www.gatoandino.org) and as part of my PhD thesis I am studying the effects of traditional livestock (camelids) on Andean cat and pampas cat populations. Also, I am evaluating the conflict with feral dogs and Andean cat and pampas cat populations, which includes a threat reduction tragedy and a One Health approach that allows the conservation of declining populations.
