Summary: The first paragraph is stressing the fact that the knowledge on lynx biology is very limited. The second part is actually the lynx itself, speaking to the public (first person). He is explaining about his ecology and main threats (poaching, habitat destruction, small population size). The third part is Dime Melovski’s interview in which the main discussions are focused on the protected status that lynx has in Macedonia, population estimate, distribution, taxonomic status and the BLRP project. The next paragraph is explaining the baseline survey method and the dynamics of the work. Based on the data gained from the baseline survey, the decision was made where to set the camera-traps. The method of the camera-traps is explained and the main results are given. The last part is giving a short summery of the protected area part of our project.

At the end, there is an appeal statement to the public for the protection of the Balkan lynx, as well as an outlook to the next steps and plans of the Balkan Lynx Recovery Programme (radio-telemetry, habitat preferences etc.).
