Summary: The lynx in the Galichica Mountains will be “saved” with the help of camera-trapping method. According to the project drafted from the National Park, day and night shooting is planned to take place on Galichica. Zoran Angelovski, the director of the park is interviewed – “The results from this method will enable us to undertake different measures for lynx protection. The session is planned to start this summer and the cost of this project is not important since the Park is determined to protect this endangered species.”

According to the NP’s data, there hasn’t been a single report on hunted lynx in the last years. This does not mean that the law on hunting is respected, but it is because the lynx is very rare or even gone from the park.
